Share your knowledge with high schoolers
We are seeking college graduates with exceptional academic performance to join our team as Associates. Associates are responsible for student assessment, instruction, and curriculum design. They form relationships with students and their families and act as mentors for young people on the road to academic success.
Associates are senior tutors who work closely with individual students in the capacities of academic coach and tutor. In some cases, Associates also assist in managing our team of part-time tutors. Other opportunities include working closely with Directors, assisting with management operations, and gaining exposure to all parts of the business.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching a wide range of subject content, including academic fundamentals, high school subjects, and standardized test preparation. Students are 13-18 years old.
- Mentoring students
- Developing course material in areas of academic motivation, organization, memory, reading, writing, and studying. This material will help develop fundamental skills as a supplement to students' schoolwork.
- Assisting with administrative oversight. Scheduling with parents, students, and part-time tutors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a wide range of course selection
- Exceptional academic record, demonstrated by standardized test scores, undergraduate performance, and, when appropriate, graduate performance
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be able to instruct high school students, interact with parents, and function in an office setting
- Demonstrated interest in education
- Organizational and time management skills
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Superior work ethic and initiative
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team
